A tropical summer outfit on the beach in the South of France. Dipping my feet in the sand at sunset while waiting for our table

During our holidays in the south of France we went for dinner at the beach. The sun was setting and the temperature was finally getting more comfortable. Just before we were seated at our table we walked over to the beach to dip our feet in the sand and enjoy the sun going down. I was wearing this long waistcoat, perfect for this type of weather.

During summer I want to wear the least amount of clothes because I’m always warm and sweating. Loose dresses and cute skirts is what I normally go for so this was a new look for me. The way it’s draped around my body with the belt makes it more like a tunic. Something new and I really like it. I took it with me on holidays because I can style it in different ways, which is perfect when you have to take care on what to pack.

WHAT AM I WEARING

The waistcoat is a size 20 UK which fits like a EU 48 and has a loose fit with a belt. Because it’s made of a light material it wears very comfortable. Even though it’s polyester it doesn’t feel too warm. The print is amazing and is giving me tropical vibes whenever I wear it, even back in Holland.

I’ve styled it with black as you only see little parts of it as the waistcoat is more visible. Underneath I am wearing a cotton top so the material doesn’t sticks to my body. It doesn’t need it as its not transparent though. For bottoms I’m wearing biker shorts, also in cotton as I prefer this. It helps me against thigh chafing but also comfortable when walking around and a little breeze is coming.
