Happy Halloween, trick or treat your skin with these products from The Body Shop

For this time of the year, autumn is here and the leafs are falling you know Halloween is on its way. The Body Shop has a special edition launched this month, the Vanilla Pumpkin body care line. I received two products, the hand cream and the butter.

On October 31st it’s Halloween, the scariest dat of the year. Trick or Treat! In Holland this is not such a big thing, but it’s growing each year. The American and Irish are the real Halloween people and it always looks so much fun. Last year I went to a scary Halloween party for the first time and this year I hope to go again.

Vanilla Pumpkin body care line

The Body Shop has launched a special edition for this time of the year, called Vanilla Pumpkin bodycare. These products have a sweet, deep scent of vanilla as the name says. There is also a hunch of other scents which gives that autumn feeling. In the middle of fall, when the leafs start to fall and it’s getting colder outside your body needs a little extra care.

Scented with quintessential pumpkin fragrance, vanilla from Madagascar and hints of tonka bean, hazelnut and maple syrup.

There are four items in this limited edition. There is a shimmer mist which you can use as a finishing touch after cream. A shower gel which is soap free. The products I received are the hand cream and the body butter, which I will review. All can be purchased in the stores and online.

Don’t underestimate the size of this tube. It looks small but you only need a little bit of the product. With a small amount you can moisture both of your hands. It has that deep vanilla scent. It’s a compact cream and spreads easily.

review when the weather changes I always get these painful areas on my hands. Like my skin is bursting open of dry ness, up till it almost bleeds. I know how horrible this sounds but it’s the only way to explain it. So when fall hits, I always start to moisture my hands and especially the sides of my fingers. I love how it applies easily. But most important to me, is that it absorbs easily and the scent is not too strong. It’s a keeper! 

body butter

How cute does this look? It’s a 24-h body butter especially for the dry skin. This product has the same warm and deep scent of vanilla and pumpkin. It really reminds me of fall. You can apply it on the whole body as it’s a big jar. It’s a full, heavy cream and has a thick structure. It applies easily and smears properly.

review now that summer has officially ended and my body is mainly covered in clothing I could use a little extra moisturising. My skin is very dry at the moment so a good way to try this product out. I’ve used it for about two weeks and I really like it. The cream is very full and the jar isn’t very hygienic as you have to put your hands in every time. However it applies easily, even though it’s a thick product. I like how it absorbs rapidly and the scent isn’t too much.
