The men’s label Jack & Jones is expanding their size range, plus size men can get their fashion here now
The plus size brands for women are on the rise. Men always had a good range of plus size clothing but nothing new was happening, let alone fashion. The past month there has been some changes at the head office of Bestseller. Besides announcing the fuse with Only Carmakoma, the men’s label Jack & Jones will also be offering plus size.
The collection will be expaning up to a size 6XL. There will not be a new department within Jack & Jones (luckily), instead the items will be added to the current collections and the size breakdown will be extended. The focus will be
based on fit and the right proportions. By collaborating together with the German company Hirmer, they have focussed in improving fits. Sales Director Dennis Birk Jørgensen explains:
The years of analysis and studies we have on fitting and size was the foundation of the plus size range. We have adjusted well-known JACK & JONES fittings to the plus size segment and adapted them according to current size studies… It’s something that we are particularly proud of and we hope the consumers will embrace this extension of our product range.
The Danish Jack & Jones is a daughter company from Bestseller and offers a wide range of men’s wear in their brand shops and online. Thee are six collections per year. In general it’s a casual brand with a focus on denim. They also offer a smart collection, with a modern and casual touch. The plus size collection will be in stores by August 2018 but is also partially available online. It’s not clear if all shops will be offering the plus size range. Right now Jack & Jones offers in their shops and online jeans up to waist size “40 and tops up to size 3XL.
We want to make sure our consumers, regardless of their size, can get on-trend styles and looks. We have done this for our well-known collections – now with styles in every size.
