Trying to beat the heat in black. Added a boho vibe, comfort and making it fashion. Exactly what I need while melting away on a hot summer day

When it’s so warm that I’m melting away -sweat everywhere- I like to choose comfort but if I’m honest I also want it to be fashion. So when I get out of the shower and think about what I’m going to wear, I have to think fast. Often I prefer a loose dress with short leggings against rubbing (and sweat, again. sorry not sorry). This was such a day where you come out of the shower, dry yourself off and having to remind yourself why you showered? It was that hot so the perfect day for an airy, flow viscose dress.

One of the reasons I love the Netherlands if because we get to experience all four seasons in full. When it’s dramatically hot we’re all complaining. Then when winter comes we’re all sliding over the highway because of snow and ice. For each season a new wardrobe is a good side affect by the way. For now it’s summer, it’s hot and I need to look decent dressed but comfortable. And cute.

WHAT AM I WEARING?

This dress is so comfortable during hot weather so I’ve worn it a couple of times before. It’s made of viscose which characteristic is to keep your body cool and keep the heat out. Perfect for those hot summer days! The trumpet sleeves are wide and have a loose drape, which looks nice but it also very comfortable to more around while -here it is again- sweating. I am wearing a size UK 20 here and it fits me well. It’s a flare dress, or A-line but I couldn’t resist pairing it with a cure belt.

Underneath I’m wearing short leggings against chafing. I also use creams but with this warm weather I prefer some cotton around my legs. The length of the dress is perfect for me, it’s just above the knee and with the belt even a little higher. Because the belt is elasticated it wears nice and shapes to your body. How cute are these sandals! I bought them last summer, never worn them (why?) and now rediscovered them. Though I still need to wear them in a little, they are already very comfortable and soft.
