The perfect vacay look, a summer playsuit. A one piece, perfect without any styling and very diverse
Who would have thought that I would be making new outfit photos in the sunny south of France. We flew to Bordeaux to visit my parents enjoying their holidays. It was an exiting and little scary flight during the pandemic but we took all precautions. Every vacation is amazing but some ho this feels a little more special. I didn’t expect to be traveling abroad these days but we’re here and enjoying!
Each time I pack my suitcase I just cant chose hat to bring because I Alans pack too much. Nowadays my suitcase is being shared with my little girl as well. I don’t even want to bring that much but I do want something for every occasion; plus it should be comfortable. Especially when the temperatures are rising, I need the combination of fashion, comfort and cute.
The items I bring to my holiday should be able to style in different ways, like a mix and match and added some single pieces. These are often dresses but a playsuit like this is also a good option. What I love about such single pieces is that my outfit doesn’t need a lot of work to style -read, doesn’t need a lot of extra items I have to pack. I’ve styled the playsuit with sandals and a fannypack but it’s also easy to down dress it with sneakers and a cardigan. When it gets chill I wear a cardigan or a linnen blazer for a more dressed up look.
WHAT AM I WEARING?
This is an always-good outfit, a playsuit as it’s a full outfit and ready to go. It’s like a jumpsuit only with shorts. For me it was love at first sight but I could control myself and didn’t buy it. It was almost meant to be when I got an email asking me to show my favorite Summer outfit from bonprix. I didn’t had to think it through and immediately said yes. After ordering the stress that it might not fit me well sunk in but with positive vibes I tried it one and yes, it was perfect. I was so happy!
The playsuit is made of viscose, a perfect fabric for summer. Its characteristics is to absorb cool air and reject heat. The playsuit is lined at the shorts to prevent from shining through. The toppart isn’t but has a a more loose fit so it doesn’t need a lining. It has an elasticated waist so it stays all in place. In my opinion the fit is tight; I’m wearing a size UK 24 and regularly a size UK 20/22. So size up because this style is nice to wear slightly loose.
A fannypack or a belt with purse in this case, is my favorite accessory. This way I always carry my phone and keys with me, even when my outfit doesn’t have pockets. In this case it has -yayyy- however with this delicate fabric I don’t want to carry around heavy or sharp items. I picked the biggest size, 130 but this is too wide. I easily could have bought 1 or even 2 sizes down, but this way I can even wear it a hip belt. The sandals are very old but a decent pair of leather are timeless.
