Red, Slayer, something with a six and a lot of frustrated metal heads!
Earlier I told you about my metalhead boyfriend in a previous rock-style outfit post. Recently I went with him to a metal concert and now I feel like I can wear the rockband shirt. Like I need an excuse to wear this Slayer -tshirt right? Dennis thinks it’s a disgrace that his beloved band has shirts in commercial retail stores. I didn’t care, it has glitter on it, of course I’ll buy it.
I just figured, I actually know the band and have to listen to their music. Perhaps not entirely voluntarily but does that count? The fact that this is one of my boyfriends’ favourite bands made me want to buy it. Most metal heads will be so disappointed about this trend in fashion. T-shirts with metal and rock band logo’s, or this type of typography used for prints. To me it’s important that when I wear such a tee, that I actually know the band. I am not into Metallica or Guns ’n Roses so I wouldn’t wear those shirts. That would be hypocritical!
I wanted a new white shirt and it has glitter, so I was good to go. This is a size Xl from the plus size range which has a very wide fit. I’ve worn the shirt already a few times and love to combine it with black joggers as well as with as simple black cardigan. In this case it’s combined a little preppy, how I like it, with a blazer and sandals.
The red blazer is a basic in my wardrobe which I never expected it would be. Red is not a basic color but I love to combine it with many other items, it appears to be a real classic. I’m wearing a size UK20 (EU 48) of the blazer from previous season. These jeans are from Elvi and I love this wash and tone, the ripped knees make it a little more edgy. This is a size UK20 which fits like a EU size 48. It’s high waisted, so it suits me very well though I personally prefer a medium rise jeans.
