While enjoying the sunset in the south of France, wearing this beautiful white dress. Hello summer, I am so ready for you!

Last week we went to France for a couple of days, sponteanously. We wanted to go on a proper holiday but everything was fully booked or so expensive that we didn’t want to go. At the last minute we found tickets to fly out to Bordeaux where we have a family cottage. Within a couple of hours we cleaned the house, packed our suitcases and off we went. The house is beautifully located near a lake so the sunsets are amazing! Once we arrived we didn’t regret all the stress of traveling with a baby for the first time! During this golden hour I decided I wanted to make photos in my new, beautiful white dress, perfect for summer.

Traveling with only hand luggage isn’t my best feature, I must admit and there are always a few things which have to come along. I received this dress the day we left and I don’t know how but I squeezed it in! I know it’s tricky with a baby but there are days I am not a mommy but just a girl who likes to dress up. what am I wearing?

The dress is made of a soft satin fabric which has a lovely drape. It’s a bit difficult to describe because it has a nice flow, wears very light and yet the fabric feels very dense and has body. It’s double layered so no shining through of anything. The sleeves and shoulder parts have lace inserts of different kinds of designs. I’ve described the dress as white but it’s more off white, a lovely color and perfect for summer. The fine material wears very nice and isn’t a sweaty fabric.

The dress I am wearing is a size M which is probably a EU 44-46 but fits me perfectly. The Dutch brand Yoek is known for its wider fits and I always shop a size smaller as I like fitted things. I’ve paired it with these sandals which are so comfortable, I wish I bought it in every color! I’ve bought these in a shop in London and it’s one of those spontaneous buys I don’t regret! The hat is always lying around in the house and I always wear it on sunny days, perfect for extra sun protection. Also, it makes the outfit a bit more casual. Hope you like my look.
