A festive outfit for the holidays and yet comfortable, the perfect casual Christmas look. And even better, I will still wear it after the holidays!
Finally it’s december, my favorite month of them all! The holidays are coming and I love to dress up a little more this time of year. I absolutely love sparkles and glitter but I don’t always wear it. So in this month I just do it double! The items of this look each have something festive to it, a sparkle, a shine but all together it’s a more casual look. Perfect for a casual Christmas, a comfortable outfit. What’s so great about this look is that it’s so subtle so you can also wear it after the holidays without looking like a dressed up Christmas tree. Wear it like this, or style each item different, more about this later.
At the bottom of the article I tell you all about these items, the sizing and the fit. When available there is also a direct shopping link, which is marked in green. If you have any further questions or remarks, feel free to leave a message below.
Something I love to do nowadays is mix and match different prints. When I first did this I find it difficult to decided what matches so I just started trying on things. I decided not to give it too much thought and just wear it. Slowly, step by step I got the hang of it and it was also a matter of getting used to it. What I do is to combine prints with the same color palette, or the same prints in different sizes. Even though these items are all from different brands, they do match together well. Each item can be worn differently as well, as you might have see earlier on my instagram. I love to wear the skirt with an oversized sweater. The cardigan I’ve worn on a body con dress and the top wears cute with jeans and a blazer too.

Last week Dennis and I had our 15 year anniversary. I can’t believe we have been together for so long already! Dennis took the day off and after sleeping in, or whatever that means with a baby bump, we went to Haarlem. One of my favourite cities near my place and we went for stroll, a lovely lunch and some last minute baby shopping. I decided to make photos as the weather was so lovely and my festive outfit was a perfect match. Being 37 weeks pregnant everything is exhausting, but my passion for fashion is still going strong.
The items I am wearing are each so different, so let me tell you a little more about them. The cardigan is made of a knit in different color and also added is lurex, which gives it a little sparkle. It’s perfect to wear open and has a nice drape, it doesn’t fall open. Here I am wearing the EU size 46/48 and has a normal to wide fit.
The satin top is such an eye catcher and can be styled in so many ways. Since it has straps you could actually wear it all year long! The lace tape along the cleavage is what makes it a little lingerie style. The top is a EU size 48 which is UK 20 and fits over my belly, which means it will fit my hips post part as well. I’ve made the straps shorter with the slide buckles as I am not a fan of a lot of cleavage.
The skirt has an elasticated waist which makes it perfect to style anyway you want, wear it high waisted like m. Obviously I have to wear it high up over my baby bump, but you can wear it in the waist as well. I love the stripes waistband and it has lurex as well. Actually, the whole skirt has shimmer to it, also the pleated skirt part with leopard print. The skirt is a size EU 46/48 as well and fits me perfectly. I love how the pleats cover my bump and I can still wear it later on. This fabric has a very nice drape, causing it not to bull but to accentuate the right places.
