Ready for business, working from home in style. When you will suit up, make sure it’s comfortable. Stay home and stay safe
On my way to the office. Not! This was an evening stroll jus before sun down. It felt so good, being on my own for a little while. Even though I was going to make photos and being busy, I really enjoyed doing something I love to do. My family mean everything to me but with this quarantine going on, I must admit that I was happy to have some me-time on my own for a while.
There is a funny story to this suit! I bought these pants early winter, a few months back. They are so preppy and I love the check pattern. Besides, they’re also very comfortable and stretchy so I figured this would be perfect for me as I need to focus on the fit op pants because of my c-section scar. So these preppy pants were cute and all but I only had a jumper to wear on it, which was not really the fashion look I had in mind. So when I was scrolling through the H&M app, a slight addiction, to search for swimwear for Charlotte I suddenly ended up at the women’s sale section.
Well we can all relate, but how I ended up scrolling one hour more through the women’s collection. Anyway, I spotted this cute check blazer and I zoomed in and almost couldn’t believe my eyes. This is the same check pattern matching my pants! I started praying the blazer came in my size and yes it did! Ordered it and was so happy, until it arrived. In a size 6! Not even slightly my size; so I ordered them again and once they arrived I was happy all over again because it fitted me!
WHAT AM I WEARING?
I know what you’re thinking “but Josine it’s spring now”? Yes you’re right but I just didn’t have the motivation to shoot. Plus I was waiting for the quarantine to pass by but we’re stuck in this a little longer. However a check suit is a real classic and I’m not worries I will not wear this. Even separately, because the blazer is cute with shorts or even a dress as well.
The blazer and pants are made from the same comfortable material, a heavy jersey with stretch. Because the fabric is a bit dense, which is suitable for such styles, it’s not a real wide fit. With H&M it’s always guessing which size to wear as it varies a lot. Both the blazer as the pants I am wearing in size 50 here (UK 22). The pants actually could go one size down but I that would make it more of a legging which I don’t like.
Another perfect fitting blouse! I absolutely love this beige blouse with snake print. It can be easily styled with lots of different items, I’ve worn it with a flower dress and now here with a check suit. The size 48 (UK 20) fits me perfectly, even on my bigger upper arms and wide hips. The top is not bulky like it normally is for me, but truly a perfect fit.
