For the first time in months going out for diner with just the two of us, a proper date night. Not once, but twice. This night I was wearing white

We went on a mini break in the east of Holland and I arranged a babysitter so Dennis and I could go on a proper date night. The first night of quality time and delicious dinner made us wanting more so we decided to go again the next day. It’s been so long since the lockdown and closing of all restaurants that we wanted to enjoy it even more. We could talk, no interruptions and no thinking of Charlotte’s food and bedtime.

We were staying in a cottage with lots of space. In the evening we made Charlotte’s dinner and did the night ritual to put her to bed. When she was sleeping the lovely babysitter came and we went off to the restaurant. The weather was so nice, like a summer night. We took a stroll and had drinks out on the terrace before enjoying another amazing meal. During our stroll we made these photos.

WHAT AM I WEARING

The white dress is perfect for summer. It has small straps, a faux closure and a smocked back panel, so it’s comfortable and fits perfectly. It’s made of cotton and fully lined which makes it not shining through plus very comfortable in warm weather. This is a EU size 48 which fits like a UK size 22.

The cardigan I’m wearing is actually a top. It’s made of cotton stretch jersey and has an embroidered pattern. The fabric covered buttons, the v-neck and the extreme puff sleeves make it perfect to wear both as a cardigan as well as a top. Even though the color is a bit off compared to the white dress I still love this combination. I am wearing a size XXL.

The belt I am wearing is also from H&M which now sells up to size XXL, which I am wearing here. It fits me easily and in some belts I even could size one down. The handbag I got from my cousin who’s from the Spanish island Mallorca. It’s local made and she bought it in a boutique shop in Palma. So international because my sandals are from London, and even though the make a sound when I walk, they are so comfy.
