Which festival is next? Summer is here, let the music play

Who says black isn’t a good color in summer? I love wearing black and combined with white it’s the perfect festival outfit. Today’s look is about black and a touch of boho with my favorite summer item: shorts.

I did the Summer Quiz of MS Mode and was asked to pick an outfit. Since I didn’t have any bounty islands where I’m headed soon, I chose the casual look. Festival proof! Wearing a hat to an outdoor party is always a good idea in Holland. With too much sun your head is protected, with too much rain you never have a bad hairday. Easy!

In summer I love to wear shorts. It’s easy, comfortable and you can combine it in so many ways. These casual black twill shorts are perfect. They have a slightly baggy fit, here I’m wearing a size 50 but it’s on the bigger size for me. I’m wearing the hem with a turn up because I like the shorts midways on the thigh. The white top underneath makes the whole thing a bit fresher. It’s a viscose slub jersey, sloppy fit. I’m wearing it tucked in because I don’t want it to be visible underneath my jacket. The black and white printed jacket is the show stopper: the frills and beads on the placket and cuffs are so cute. The fabric is very light weight so it actually feels more like a blouse then a jacket. I’m wearing a size XL.
