In the south of France, enjoying the sunshine and chilling at the pool in my Gingham one piece. Life can’t get any better!

Last week I went to the south of France to enjoy the sun for a couple of days. It was so nice, every morning fresh croissants for breakfast, being outdoors, enjoying the pool and spending time with friends. The perfect setting to try out my new one piece, in Gingham print. Matching this season’s trends, with the black and white check pattern. It appealed to me because of the fit, a one piece with moulded cups and fixed at the back for extra support, I had to try it.

Only a few hours before departure I received the parcel with the new bathing suit in it. Quickly I tried it on and I was so happy to find something that fits me perfectly. Just like a pair of jeans it can be difficult to find the right swimwear. Especially when it comes to a bathing suit, that one piece has to fit your body shape in order to feel comfortable in it. I love to vary between a tankini, bikini and one piece. It depends on my mood and on what I will be doing. I love water sports, so sometimes a one piece is more convenient but only when the fit is perfectly.

To be honest, often I don’t have such high demands on swimwear. I prefer to wear a different set each day while on holiday so that means I cannot afford very expansie items all the time. Though comfort is always important to me. Since I don’t have very large breasts I can easily wear the more simple styles. However gravity is a bitch so I defenately do need a lot of support. That’s how my eyes caught this little number, as it’s a bathing suit with cups and available in different sizes. Since I need a size EU 48 for my bottom and a size EU 46 for the top, often the cups are way too big. Not this time, as I ordered a cup size smaller which is perfect for my shape! What I also love is the closure at the back which gives extra support.

Swim wear should make you feel good. You’re almost naked and you want to feel comfortable but also confident. That’s why -to me- it’s so important to buy swimwear you love and not just something you need. When it comes to nudity I am such a prude so I always make extra effort to look good. It’s my way of feeling more secure about myself and my body, this is something you show to the world. You are worthy! Making these photos was something I didn’t look forward to, it appeared to be so confronting. But after seeing the end result I got a smile on my face. I am beautiful just the way I am.

The suit is made of a dense fabrics but it also has stretch. It’s not really firming, but it does has an extra layer at the tummy keeping it all together. The back closure it high up and giving extra support but also covering up my love handle pleads. And the top part wears like a bra because of the cups and the way it’s made. The check if what makes it perfect for now as Gingham checks are the trend of this season. However the check has always been a classic, as we all know the name BB check named after Brigitte Bardot! The one piece is available in 3 cup sizes and different widths and body sizes. Don’t forget, a cup size is not to be followed!
