The return of the mac

When you’re heading for spring but it’s not really there yet, we’re in transition. Almost here, what do we wear? A mac is a lighter jacket or (rain)coat and perfect for those ‘in between’ days. Though this might not be a raincoat, it’s perfect for the days of spring. And now, when layering it up!

Last week we drove up to Rotterdam and the sun was shining so beautifully, the wind was ice cold and the skies were so clear. We drove up along the skyline and it looked like magic. The sun was on fire, going under. The boats were crossing the canals and we decided it was the perfect spot to make the photos. Though it was difficult with the lighting, our hands and noses almost froze off, we made it! For a day like this I like to layer up. I’m wearing so many layers which keeps me nice and warm.

There is something about the changing of seasons that I love. The new collections are coming soon, I was so delighted to see the new collection of Elvi. I picked out this cute coat, or mac as it’s originally called. I like to see it more as a long cardigan. By layering it up I can already wear it now, but it’s also perfect for when it starts to get warmer. I think it would suit perfectly with a white top and light denim jeans? For this sweater weather I’ve combined it with a high collar blouse, ripped jeans and lace tights.
