A new color palette: pastel in winter. Soft, natural tones in warm fabrics for a winter look in light colors. Cozy fashion for colder days
In wintertime we often see fashion collections with dark colors with a base of navy, browns and blacks. Add some bold colors, often this is red or purple. My personal preference for colors are soft, light, natural tones since a few years. This time of year it’s a little harder to find but not impossible. It just needs a little dash of creativity – I like a fashion challenge.
The soft tones are to me a sense of tranquility, peace and kindness. It suits the times we’re living in now in which we have to be a little more kind to each other and to ourselves. There is so much going on in the world on health level, both physically as well as mentally. 2020 is a tough year for everyone and we all look forward to a normal life; which means an improved version of what its now. In which we will appreciate each other more, as well as respect all.

WHAT AM I WEARING
A winter look doesn’t always have to be dark toned. These pastel colors create a winter look, being light. The col jumper is an oldie but I love to wear it as it keeps my neck warm. As it was a cold day -don’t let the winter sun fool you- I have layered it up with a cardigan. It has this Chanel-vibe going on because of the tweed-style knit. I am wearing a size 48/50 which has a regular fit and it wears light. The length of the cardigan is a trend to wear on a dress of long skirt. I’ve paired it with a midi skirt.
The skirt is made of a soft mesh fabric with a lining added which is shorter so that a transparent end at the bottom is visible. Because of this some more leg is showing, which makes it more playful. When you’re not sure about midi lengths this is the perfect solution. It has an elasticated waistband and wears very comfortable in as size 48. I’ve styled it with folded faux suede boots but it’s also cute with Docs or even sneakers. This skirt can be worn in any season.
This faux leather belt I stole from a pair of pants because I liked how it holds up the jumper. This pair of boots I haven’t worn in ages but I rediscivered them when cleaning out my closet. The tights are from snag tights, my current favorites as it only has a single cross seam and go up to size EU 60.
