Pastel and spring always go good together. These times ask for comfort but we just make it fashion, don’t we!
As much as I love fashion, fit and comfort is as much as import to me. When something doesn’t fit properly or doesn’t suit me, I don’t wear it. No matter how much I love the look, the style, the trend. These are items for a catwalk, not for everyday life is what I think. During these difficult days where we all stay in I thought it was a fun idea to dare ourselves. As I wrote before, the #bodyneutralitychallenge. How I do that? Every day I try to wear something I seldome wear.
It varies each day and I don’t always feel like it to be honest. But every time I manage to do it. Not always a full look, sometimes it just that one skirt that keeps lying in my closet. Or those pants for which I need to put in more effort to style it. In this looks it’s the sandals. Since my back hernia I don’t wear heels very often. Plus it’s not always very practical with a toddler running around. So this day I decided to dress up, including heels. No long walks, no going out, just enjoying time at home.
On instagram I often share these daily looks, but I’m also trying to share it more often on my Facebook page. Hit the translate button! At the bottom of this article you can read my outfit details and shop links.
WHAT AM I WEARING?
The last months, or even one-and-a-half year I am wearing natural tones. I really like it and it makes me relaxed. Beige to brown, sometimes some light Colors, earth tones and black. This time the color lilac got my attention, this pastel tone is so soft and perfect for spring. Normally I never like purples but this season I guess I’ve changed.
a fun read: on a safari in my back yard
The color lilac is what attracted me to this jumper funny enough. But also the shape of the sleeves, the bellow cuffs are so nice. Also the special wrap around the waist and knot at the back. I just love such details! Plus, a jumper this season is perfect for the colder days and still looks fashion! The jumper is a size 22 as I liked it to fit wide. However it fits just perfect, so I think it’s a narrow fit?
These pants, I don’t want to take them off! And since I made these photos I’ve worn it already so many times. It’s made of a light weight crepe but has enough density to not show all dimples. I am wearing the size 18-20 which is slightly fitted at the waist but wears comfortable. The drape of these pants are so nice and I just love how this fabrics slides over my legs. The colours make it truly spring, burnt oranje with lilac. Added a little Easter fun, the light yellow sandals with wide fit.
