This sparkling dress was my look for the holidays

In Holland we’ve got the second day of Christmas. I think we’re the only ones, but I don’t mind because I love Christmas. A good excuse to extend the holidays. I loved Christmas this year! On Christmas Eve we went to Haarlem to sing Christmas carols, if you follow my instagram stories you might have seen this. On the first and second days of Christmas I celebrated together with family. No phone, no social media, what a relief for those couple of days. During the holidays I love to dress up. This is what I wore on the second day of Christmas when my parents-in-law came of over for lunch. It was such a lovely day.

When I got this dress, I was instantly happy because I love sparkles & glitter! It’s a black velvet dress with a glitter print, no sleeves and a V-neck. Underneath I’m wearing a mesh body, since I wanted my arms covered (cold in December) and I didn’t want to ruin the looks of the dress with a cardigan. It’s not really clear on the photos, so I added a close up. The fabric is a medium light jersey so it wears really lovely. Normally I like to wear heavy tights but these were too black for this look, so I decided to wear these fishnet tights, which I absolutely love! This look could be perfect for New Year’s Even as well. The days between Christmas and NYE are always so vague. I don’t even know which day it is now that my boyfriend has Christmas holidays as well. For a while I wanted to make photos, since I decided to have a Christmas break. This day there was fog everywhere and we decided to make the photos anyway. Thanks to lovely Margo from hetismarg.nl.
