Where the trucks are colorful decorated, the sun always shines and the poor and rich live together. A new post on location, the streets of New Delhi, India.
Last week I was in India for a business trip and I had the chance to shoot my outfit photos in a totally different setting, New Delhi. Though I have been to India many times before, each time I visit it I am amazed, surprised and shocked all at the same time. In a country where rich and poor life together, where all religions respect each other and where everybody can enjoy the little things in life.
Since a few months I work at DIDI, a Dutch retailer who sells women’s and girls clothes, accessories and home decoration. The garments are produced all over the world, also in India. It was time to visit the factories and the colleagues working there. Since DIDI is a regular size brand I wanted to show us curvy girls that when you shop your shape (not your size) you can go anywhere you like. I have found some amazing outfits in the new collection and where was it better photographed then in the country where is was made?
The long blouse is made of viscose georgette, a lovely light and well breathing material. I love this print, as 2016 is all about yellow -on top of the trends. I am wearing the biggest size, which is a size XXL. I have combined it with a bright yellow long singlet underneath, also in XXL. This brightens up the blouse. I wear it with tights, as my summer sun legs are back to white again unfortunately. Pair it up with some boots and ready to go!
