We have to face the facts, it’s time for our winter coats. Today I’m showing you some coats from the new collection of MS Mode

A coat has to wear comfortably. And look nice, have the right length and fit. Plus the right color, because we love being fashionable but at the same time it should be timeless. Yes a coat is a hell of a job to find and are often more expensive than the other items you normally shop. I went to the Dutch shop MS Mode which offers affordable and fashionable coats. I wore a few, let me show you some of the options and tell you how I feel about them.

A fake fur coat might not slim you down, no but it’s a real fashion statement. In this color especially because you’re telling the world that you’re here! I love this coat but the color doesn’t really suit me in winter time, it makes me too pale so I went for the grey color. It’s also available in black.  You wear this because you love it. The coat is super soft and it’s also very warm, which surprised me. The fit is also nice, the sleeves are not too wide and there are jersey inserts for the comfortable fit.

The same rule applies to padded coats, who needs extra padding? Well this coat is warm and padded but not so heavily. Also there is a drawstring at the inside waist, which gives you the option to make the waist fitted. I did this and it gives your body extra curves. It’s available in taupe and black and has a contrast lining. I loved this fit (even though it looks too slim at the hips but this was the lightning).

I absolutlely love this trench coat. It’s black, it’s simple but yet a real necessity. A great coat to wear casual with jeans or over an office ready dress. The coat is no lined and made of a very heavy, dense fabric which has a little stretch in it. Wears great! The belt makes it that you can wear it in different ways too. Though it’s (almost) perfect I think it’s not warm enough for winter as it’s not lined and the fabric doesn’t look waterproof to me.

The fake fur waistcoat was in the shops last year but now even more, and to stay. Wear this over your outfit to spice it up, or just were it over your denim jacket or leather biker to keep it cool, uh warm! For me personally the length is too long and it’s all on the hips. If you’re taller or you have a straight body type, this will suit you perfectly.
